Today upon inspection of the tomato plants, I was surprised to find many ready for eating. I have actually been harvesting jalapenos for about a month, and they are truly hot. Spicy would be an understatement!
I shared tomatoes and peppers with my Mom and neighbors, and still had a handful to sprinkle over a fresh grilled chicken salad. I am literally salivating for more.

Those jalapenos look so good! Better than the chillies I see in the market here. Wish I could be your neighbour ;-) Hmm... the weather at your place is always warm?
The weather here goes to extremes --- very hot during the summer and very cold during the winter. If you were my neighbor, you would have plenty of jalapenos!
Nice, happy eating! I've found that the longer you leave jalapenos on the plant the more the heat will mellow. Last year, the ones I picked while they were small and green were much hotter than the ones that I left on the plant for a longer period of time.
Your plateful harvest is so nice... A test for patience and endurance in gardening. and you pass and will keep on coming out with great success... Such a joy I guess.

I'll be lucky if I have tomatoes before the first frost arrives so enjoy your early harvest. My one plant does have some flowers though. Nice peppers, Alexandria. I planted mine too late this season. Will try earlier next year. My tomatoes have been ripening for the last two weeks (hurray).
Looks good. I actually have one tiny tomato on an outside plant. Maybe I'm not hopeless.
That's a beautiful photo, and I really like the red/green contrast. You can keep the jalapenos :-), but I'd love to snack on one of those tomatoes. They look yummy.
